Default Difference in ls1 and ls2 flywheels?

I currently have an ls7 clutch installed with an ls2 flywheel. I am upgrading to a ram powergrip HD clutch. I was told I could not resue the ls2 flywheel though, they said it must be an ls1 flywheel. What is the difference between the 2 flywheels? Why can't I use my fairly new ls2 flywheel instead of my stock ls1 flywheel?

Also why do they not recommend the stock flywheel for high horsepower applications? Are they just trying to sell a billet steel flywheel or is there actually a reason behind that? I understand I will need to resurface my flywheel.

The LS2 fw has raised mounting points where it connects to the pressure plate, the LS1 fw does not
