Clutch Problem?

Clutch Problem? A few weeks back, went to the track and was doing a burnout using the line loc. Suddenly, I saw smoke coming up from the back corner of the hood, knew it wasn't tire smoke. Smelled like clutch. Okay, assumed clutch was going. Continue driving the care and really don't feel any slipping, but yesterday I dumped the clutch at a red light, tires broke loose, smoked tires and when I got home (about a mile away) got out of the car and smelled ......... clutch. So now it appears that when doing a burnout, I'm going to smoke the clutch. Is my clutch going or what. I thought on a line loc of course the drive line is shocked for a second, but why would this smoke the clutch.

Re: Clutch Problem? Its just a matter of the torque load, especially if you are using a line lock. Sounds like the stocker is getting weak - they will typically hold undo light load as they go away, but higher loads will continue to make it worse.
