Default ?Adjustable master cylinder?

I going to buy an adjustable master cylinder tomorrow, my only problem is which one should I get? I was looking at getting the RAM adjustable master cylinder because of its price. A buddy of mine said to send my old master cylinder to cartek and have them modify it to be adjustable. (My old master cylinder is not the up dated 01+ master). I checked out Cartek's site and it says its $100 to modify my stock master to be adjustable, which brings up another question. Do they rebuild the whole master cylinder or do they just put an adjustable rod end on the old master cylinder?

Should I even bother having my old master cylinder modified or just buy the RAM adjustable? The Mcleod adjustable master cylinder is alittle out of my price range right now.

You can make a stocker adjustable yourself.
Only the McLeod is a non stock master, all others are a modified stocker.

Is it worth making my old master cylinder adjustable to minimize down time. My old master cylinder is the 98'-00' style.

No, you want to buy a new one and do the adjustable mod yourself. You can do it in an hour...
