Default trouble bleeding clutch

I did the drill mod today had some trouble gettting the slave out and in, but got it done, then we went to bleed it. No matter what I do, no pressure is building in the clutch. I did the standard bleeding procedure, but the pedal still stays on the floor. I think we broke the slave. Input?

When I did the drill mod it took alot of pumping before mine built up pressure, but it finally got pedal to it and then I bled it several times until I felt good about it. After the drill mod did you flush the clutch line to get the rest of the debris out of the line? I would suggest checking all lines before going through the trouble of pulling the tranny to get the slave out. Hope I helped some. Good luck on it.

Not sure how you are bleeding, but open bleeder, push pedal to floor and hold, close bleeder. A lot of people seem to push the clutch down first and then open the bleeder but this doesn't work well.

This isnt ment to insult you or anything, but you did flush the line out really well after doing the drill mod right? Its kind of a pain because of the quick disconnect plunger, but I saw chunks come out of mine big enough to block the line. Just a thought.

Did you try to bench bleed it first? Thats the best way to get things started. The slave seals itself off as soon as you unhook the disconnect. So it shouldnt loose too much fluid. If you bench bleed the master, in theory the only air in the system will be in the disconnect fitting area. Shouldnt take more than a couple bleed cycles to push that out.

When I did mine, I bench bled with a motive power bleeder. And also did a few pumps by hand. When I installed it back onto the slave, I had pedal pressure instantly. I bled it some more anyway just to be safe. Ran some fluid through with the motive power bleeder, and bled it a couple times the manual way. No problems. Went super easy. So easy that I thought something was wrong.

Bench bleeding is key..

I agree with ghettocruiser, bench bleeding is the key and flushing the master and having it gravity bled by the time your ready to hook up the slave.
