Default t56 to sbc

so not sure if iam stupid or what but iam not finding the search button so i picked up a borg werner t56 from a lt1 f-body and want to mate it up to my 1st gen 350 will the lt1 bell housing work? or do i need an adapter plate that goes between the lt1 bell housing and sbc block or do i need just a aftermarket bell housing? thanks in advance for your help

I dont know about the bell housing, but you will need a new flywheel.

McLeod makes an adapter plate that goes between the T56 and a stock Gen I bellhousing, IIRC. Or I'm sure that an aftermarket bellhousing would work, too. You may also need a speedo adapter to go from the T56's electrical signal to the mechanical-driven type, depending on what kind of speedometer you are using. HTH

since you have an lt1 trans it will bolt straight up to the block. but if you have a 2 piece rear main seal block you will need a special flywheel
