Low mile tranny shift problems Last year I popped second gear out of my t-56. So after waiting too long for my local trans shop to fix it, I decided to get a tranny off of ebay. The listing claimed to have only 11,800 miles on the trans. Also it had a hurst shifter in it, which I decided to use in mine. So I put it in, refilled it with Valvoline conventional dex III. Now when I drive it 3rd and 4th gear grind just a little bit when I shift it, both WOT and normal driving. My old tranny, with 79,000 miles didnt do that. Should I try a different fluid? Is the Hurst shifter at fault?
