Default Adjustable master cylinder???

I am looking to purchase a mcleod single disc clutch, is it really necessary to also purchase the adjustable master cylinder and what purpose does it serve?
Does anyone have this setup without the adjustable master or know anyone that does, thanks for any info.

I'd bet you'd be fine with just a stock converted to adjustable. Like a Ram master, or the mod'd stocker's like in the sticky thread in the top of this section.
