Grinding Gears
So I was going to drive my car to work today when I left the neighborhood and my trans. grinded 3rd and 5th gears. I turned around and put it in the garage and got in my truck. My dad and I just put new trans fluid in it 3 days ago. Wasn't having problems before this. Any ideas? I was not driving hard when it did this. My ex brother in law runs an AAMCO so I called him and he said it could be a number of things. Any thoughts or trustworthy transmission shops around the North part of Houston?

Well, I guess if I could figure out what it could be then that would be a start. That way when I take it in to get fixed if I have to then I will have a little bit of a notion as to what is going on.

I'm telling ya, try flushing out the old fluid via the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder (don't let the reservoir run dry), then bleed the system with a mityvac. It's cheap and it's probably the cause of several guy's problems when they experience this.
