So in order to complete this Viper swap you just installed the u joint (#2-1153) into your driveshaft that you previously had working with the factory F Body main shaft? No cutting or modification of your driveshaft was needed aside from swapping the front u joint and adding the appropriate yoke.

Sticky worthy or not, posts that cut into our sponsor's profits aren't usually good contenders for stickies

The purpose of a forum is to share information, and the purpose of my post was HOW TO do your own Viper Conversion yourself and cheaper than using one of this boards sponsors.

Sorry if it offends someone or some companies. If you look long and hard enough you can go back in the old posts and find the same info on parts needed, and how to info as well. I just updated the post and added some material, so maybe i can help out the next guy.

Quick "dumb" question... I see the style of seal is different between stock and viper. When I got my donor car, the trans was already swapped from auto to T56. Previous owner said that the T56 was "upgraded". I assumed he meant just the usual internal stuff. But my seal looks like the viper seal.

Does this mean its viper upgraded? Is there any way I can visually check to see whether or not I have the viper main shaft without taking things apart??

Thanks.

J.
