Aluminum Flywheel Worthwhile???
Aluminum Flywheel Worthwhile??? Anyone using a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel and what have been your results. I am considering purchase but I am getting mixed feedback. Some say engime WILL rev faster but at the expense of some torque due to the greater intertia generated in the steel flywheel???
Re: Aluminum Flywheel Worthwhile??? i used the mcloed alu. fly wheel and unless you are into road corse racing or auto cross, stay away from it.
launches are so much more dificult to perfect because of the decreased inertia in the light flywheel. this means you end up bogging most of the time and you keep raising your launch rpm till you loose traction.

Re: Aluminum Flywheel Worthwhile??? Well, Im running the Spec al flywheel with my McCleod RevLok II and I love it. The car was a bit trickier to launch, but I figured it out quick. It revs so much quicker. I think its a worthwhile mod. Just make sure your gearing and power are all in sinc.
