Operating temperature for T56... (Cooling system?)

Operating temperature for T56... (Cooling system?) I was told from a buddy, now don't quote me on this, that he had a trans cooler rigged to his T56.. What is the normal operating temperature for the 6 speed and is it worth getting a cooling system for it? I'm talking about for a canyon carver/Auto X car..
Just an idea... It's not like there's a lot of slippage in the manual enough to cause a heat issue like in an A4....
I was thinking of the supply line being from the drain plug, to a pump then to a cooler mounted in front of the radiator, then the return line going into the fill plug on the trans.

Hmm.... Yeah.. I just thought I'd check. My buddy told me about his friend doing it on his WS.6 TA.
I know my trans gets warm, but not hot enough to require a cooler.
