Default McLeod clutch help?!?!

Hey guys. We are trying to get the firehawk put back together, but we're having problems with the clutch. I put it back on the motor properly, but the pedal goes right to the floor with no effort at all. It has a Mcleod dual disk clutch and master cylinder. Has anyone dealt with Mcleod stuff that could shed some light on the situation? We are at a loss right now. I tried bleeding it last night, but to no avail

We used a mighty vac. I loosened the bleeder valve and just pumped like crazy on the mighty vac. It sucked fluid through because I had to refill the resivoir once or twice, but the pedal never got and stiffer. How long would it take to bleed? I only did it for a few minutes. The car sat up for almost 3 months without the tranny in it, if that helps at all.

Have you tried to adjust it ?
Does it stick to the floor?
you might have a bad master there as well, no unheard of from the McLeods.
I know I have rebuilt mine twice.

i can't remember the exact number but your not supposed to pull more than 12 or 15 inches, and i've had pretty good sucess with starting by putting a tapered fitting on the mityvac and sticking in in the bottom passage of the resivior to start...

The clutch stays up where it is supposed to, but there is no pressure on it when you push it in.
