**Shifter Vibration Problem....PLEASE help**
**Shifter Vibration Problem....PLEASE help** Ok so I have a problem with my shifter....when its in gear it vibrates REALLY bad...the faster I go the faster it rattles. Anyone know what might cause this?

does it actually physically vibrate? or do you just hear the rattling resonating throughout the assembly? if it's vibrating, that's bad. it could be a loose transmission mount of possible engine mount. if it's just making a rattling noise, then you're fine. that's natural.

Well I got it up on a lift and took a pry bar and it seems I can pick up the tranny about an 1" off the mount....is this normal?
Could a bad clutch make this vibration? The shifter bolts are all tight and all the u-joints look ok. Man I tell ya guys this is VERY VERY annoying.
Also Ive noticed that now when I shift into gears there is a metal noise like the shifter is rubbing on something. I dono.
