Default ls1 to lt1

my friend wants to put my t-56 out of a 00 t/a into his 97 lt1 camaro. what is exactly different and what would he have to do?

As long as the Lt1 unit is 94 or newer then all you need to do is change the front plate and the input shaft to a Ls1 style .

whats the diffrences in the input shafts? is it just length?

Yes, the LS1 input shaft is longer.

As long as the LT1 unit is 94-97 , then yes its just the lenght of it .
