Default Master Cylinder ?

I have a 1998 Z28 and I have the problem where my clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. I understand that the 01 and 02 master is the best replacement for the master. Do you have to change the slave cylinder or anything else or is it just a straight forward swap with the master cylinder? Thanks in advance for the help.

You dont have to if the master cures your problem, but if it doesnt fix it you may need a new slave.

i dont think there is a difference in master cyls, but the 01+ slave cyl is supposed to be better.

i had the same problems. i would bleed the system out and see if that cures it. when i took mine apart the fluid looked like black paint in the slave cyl. i havent had any issues since i put in the newer style slave, a new master, and a new clutch. i figured id do it all in one shot since it was apart.

start with flushing the system out. i bet the pedal will feel much better.

Thanks for your help! I did try replacing the fluid and bleeding the system and the same thing happened again. I was under the impression that there was a difference between the 98-00 and the 01-02 master cylinder? So depending on how soon I can get a new master cylinder I will be trying to replace it over the weekend.
