Default iroc clutch issues

I have an 87 iroc, yesterday i was speed shifting and went to hit 4th and it would not go in so i tried gettin it in 3rd wouldnt go in i got it in 5th and got home in 5th. the clutch is supose to be a centerforce with less than 10k on it and it has never skipped a beat before. The clutch is not there, but to depress to clutch pedal it takes all ur might very very stiff and if u were to dump it, it would slingshot back up. Not sure whats going on all help will be appriciated.
