Default what could it be?

hey everyone im new to this camaro forum, im on project camaro and sacfbodyz. i just have 2 quick questions.

i just got my tranny rebuilt with
carbon fiber syncros
iron shift forks
billet steel keyways
zo6 clutch
01-02 master and slave cylinder

this happened before the rebuild and still is but when in 5th and 6th gear only when on the gas i hear a grinding noise anyone have any idea?

also when in neutral clutch out i hear a spinning noise with a slight vibration in the trannny any idea?

could it be the rear end going out?

Did you replace the sliders? What about looking at the gears? What did the synchro teeth look like? How many miles were on the trans and did they replace the bearings?

ya everything was replaced or upgraded. i talked to someone and i told him my posi and gear were headed south and that there was metal particles in my diff when we looked. he said that it could be the rear end?

If the noise is only when the transmission is in 5th or 6th gear but not directly related to the speed of the vehicle than its more than likely in the transmission . Now if the noise comes in at a certain speed and is there regardless of the gear you are in , its probably in the diff .

well i cant really tell cuz 5th and 6th is the only gear that the rpms are low enough to hear it so i cant really tell
