My spec came with a shim so I used it. You can get a clutch alignment tool anywhere. Actually if you want I have an extra clutch alignment tool and a brand new throwout bearing that came with my clutch that I don't need because I bought a new slave and it came with a throwout bearing on it. I will sell it to you for $45 shipped, it's like $65 from GM.

SPEC can send you the shim you need, its like .100 inch I believe. The alignment tool can be had from a local store and you dont need a new TO bearing you can juts use the one you have although i would highly suggest buyin a new slave cylinder while you do the clutch job. The slave comes with the TO bearing too.

I have a TO bearing, alignment tool, shim, and pilot bearing I can sell you though if you want. Pm me if you are interested.

Dont worry about the 3k thing. I run a 3+ and they last plenty long provided you can drive it properly and you do a good install.

definitely don't reuse the throwout bearing, especially if you have a lot of miles because later down the road if you didn't change it, there's a good chance it will fail and as result it will destroy the fingers on your pressure plate when it lets go.
