T56 reverse engagement... increasingly difficult?

T56 reverse engagement... increasingly difficult? On the gf's 01 TA M6, it is getting more and more difficult to put the car into reverse. The car has a little over 5k miles on it, is this just the way these trannies are? It seems that you have to push all the way over a couple of times, then push upwards so that it will go into reverse. Re: T56 reverse engagement... increasingly difficult? Could be a sign of problems to come.. Mine was difficult to get into R and then it would slip out and then the whole transmission ate itself after 3 and 4 went out. That was at 8500 miles. Now I am at 17000 after the GM rebuild and it got stuck in 4th under acceleration (granny shifting) and now I have another rebuild in my future now that I have lost 3 and very dificult to get into all other gears with a whining sound when in any gear also.. now its got 56k miles and the tranny is f**ked

its been giving me difficulty with Reverse the whole time, and for the past month or two, ive been having trouble finding 1st.
now i can barely get into gear, and the car is parked
