6 SP ?? How many OK I'm looking for a 6sp to put in my TA. It has 3:42 gears.
My question is how many different type 6sp did Gm make ?
Does anyone know the gear ratios for those tranny's and what the factory rear gear ratio is? or Did GM make only one tranny for all 6 sp cars ?

Fbodies, and base C5 corvettes got the MN6 version, the GTO's and the Z06 vettes got the MN12 version. Differences would be that the MN12 has better blocker rings and more aggressive gearing than the MN6. Im sure others who know more will chime in
That pretty much sums it up. Most stock 6-speeds came with 3.42s in the rear.
