help on spec clutch not going into reverse i just put in a new spec stage 2 clutch kit .... used the .116 shim like they said behind the slave and bleed the lines will not go into any gears... well flywheel had been shaved like .60 so i put in a new shim that was .180 which should be more than enough... will go into gears but alittle hard and no reverse..clutch is still trying to pull even when pedal is all the way down....
Did you take .60" off the flywheel...meaning more than 1/2". Even if you used two shims you would still have a thickness addition of .232" which is less than a 1/4". The stock flywheel is not thick enough to take that kind of thickness out of safely. Are you sure you don't mean .060 off of the flywheel?

yea i meant .060 sixty thousandths sorry ... took it all back apart today the pressure plate springs are off .095 from one side to the other and it's turning blue in one spot on the low side..??? that's with it mounted and still off unmounted.. ??? any ideas... bad pressure plate???

I've noticed Admin removed the "non-sponsor" info in your sig.
I wonder if you could say something like "Spec Clutch Representative", where many of the sponsors already sell your clutches.
