Default Jumping out of fourth

Hey guys still new to the board and LS1s for that matter, been an old school camaro guy for a while. I got a problem with the 6 speed in my 98 SS. When I am really getting on it sometimes it will jump out of fourth. It doesn't do it during mild driving only higher RPMs. Could it be just the hydraulics need to be replaced or could I be looking at a larger issue all together?

If it pops out of gear, it's not a hydraulic problem. Going to have to tear into it to find out what exactly is wrong with it. Does it grind at all whent shifting?

Probably a tweaked 3/4 fork and worn syncro rings . Upgrade to a steel fork , bronze pads and new rings .

It's a worn syncro, if you dont get it replaced soon, and I mean soon, your gonna have to replace the tranny, or rebuild it...I had the same problem

Not while shifting but, sometimes from a dead stop in first gear it grinds a little when I first start off and even then only when it's hot.

So it looks like the pilot bearing shattered! Scored the input shaft, waiting for an update on weather or not there are more issues. Already ordered LS7 clutch package, new slave, pilot bearing, new input shaft, steel 3-4 fork and carbon fiber synchros.
