I was told there was an older version of the hurst billet that did not have stops. I read some other posts from a couple years ago that said the old hurst was the same as the slp shifter, just a different name.

AFAIK, the Hurst Billet and Billet Plus have always had stops....

However, I've only been installing these things on 4th gens since 97, so I can't really speak for any made before then....

The older Hurst Competition Plus Shifter (chrome stick) didn't have stops, but could never be confused with the SLP store shifters as they had a thinner gray base rather than a gold billet aluminum base like the others...

Alright, well that works for me. Why cant they just stamp the name of the shifter on the base! Its like a guessing game
