Default Symptoms of a bad master?

What are the symptoms of a bad master ? I just put everything back together. The only part of the hydros that isn't new is the master.

The clutch is disengaging all the way on the floor. Car won't go into first unless the pedal is forcefully mashed to the floor and doesn't seem to disengage properly when driving either...

Could this be a bad master or maybe still some air in the hydraulics ??

Well considering I am doing a swap from an auto I'm really not sure what "normal" is but it feels fairly stiff.

Have you put a mity vac to the system yet? Best way I know to ensure there's absolutely no air in the system.

Northern Tool For $39.99, I'm having the same exact problem as you. Haven't used the mighty vac yet but I'm about to find out if it works later today.

Alot of times with the LS7 clutch it will grab right off the floor at first, then after a few miles you wear down the high spot's in the clutch and the engagement moves up a bit.

Maybe I'll just try to drive it a bit more. The clutch couldn't have more than 10 miles on it right now.

You defintely need to bleed it better. I have about 1000 miles on my ls7 setup and had no issues with going into any gear. I bought my mity vac from autozone for around $30 and it works perfect. Just remember DONT (they say not to) go over 15-20 vac or you will destroy your seals.

+1 for bleeding it more.

Make sure you pump the hell out of the clutch pedal. Its not like bleeding the brakes where its a nice easy push. Youll want to get down there with your hand and push and pull it pretty much as hard as you can.

Bled it again today with the Mity Vac and the old fashion way. Also put about another 30 miles on it and the engagement point did move way up. I think I'm all set now
