Broken Clutch Return Spring
Now for the interesting thing and question:
Normally when going through the gear and hitting high RPMs (5000-6800) the clutch would not return all the way, and I would have maybe an inch to be able to change the gears. Everything I have read prior to this said that the fluid was boiling and due to a restriction in between the master and slave the fluid was not returning fast enough(thus the popular drill mod).
Now after the spring broke, I don't have this problem. NONE, I have tried several times since it broke to reproduce the problem with no luck. ( not that I am disappointed )
Is it possible that the return spring was acting like a syringe when pulling liquid in to fast it is very hard to do, and the harder you try to pull in the liquid the harder it gets to do, but if you go slow it actually takes less time?
Is the spring actually causing(or not helping) the problem everyone see's when ripping through the gears and hitting high RPMS by trying to return the peddle back faster then possible?
Finally: Is it really needed? I don't ride with my foot on the peddle anyway.
Could not resist since its related <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
