BEST CLUTCH!!
I know this is kind of a hard guestion but what is the best clutch for street use 800hp. Many say the Ram and Mcleod. And now there are the new Exdecy(sc) what is said to realy be good. Some companys sell adj. masters. Is this needed. Be that these top clutches are over $1000 I would like to only do this once!

The RAM and the Mcleod both have a bit more pressure then stock, but thats expected with a performance clutch. If you want a clutch thats going to hold 800RWHP, you won't find one that is slipable like the stocker.

i will plug the McLeod street Twin all day Long, i ran the stock slave setup for over 2 years and just upgraded to the adj. master, it is even better!!!!! i love it!
it has seen 5k dumps on spray, approximately 770rwhp!
glad to hear you are willing to do this once! may cost a few bux more but you gegt what you pay for.

My $.02
I've been through 4 clutches, and now I'm on the RAM 980. Awesome clutch. However, I too thought I'd buy and be done. Well my new 2001 slave just bit the dust after 9K miles. All I'm saying is I don't think we buy a clutch for these cars and be done with it; the hydraulics ( I upgraded it all ) can still be a weak link. Good news is my clutch itself is in great shape, bad news is having to pull the master again and tranny to replace hydraulics.

So far the Mcleod is winning but the only down side is people say it is like a on/off switch! I don't want to be parking and let of the clutch and the car flys right into a car. But that is the draw back of high horsepower and a clutch that gets the power down!

I wouldn't consider my RAM 910 a on/off clutch. The twin is definately on or off though

i literally have my money on a spec stage 4 ceramic disk with no springs. it has held up to my 720rwtq daily driving, agressive but very street friendly.. stock pedal feel due to the stock hydraulics. i think it will set you back about $600 for everything
