Default 2000SS Drill mod only or must I change the hydrolic master?

IF I shift quickly, I get one shift before the clutch pedal gets stuck 2 inches off the floor. I would like to just do the drill mod if I can get away with it. If I can't, what makes the Mcload worth and extra $150 over an 01 master. I would like to get first hand accounts from people who have done one of the three options above.

Thanks

I just swapped out my master this past weekend and did the drill mod too. I went ahead and bought an '01 master from GM Parts Direct for $98. Supposedly it's a little better than our '00 model, plus it gives you a chance to do the drill mod on it without ripping your stuff out because it comes with the braided line. The Mcleod unit has a slightly bigger bore for more fluid transfer but a slightly stiffer pedal, plus it's adjustable. I didn't really see a need for that with a stock clutch. BTW, swapping out the master isn't that difficult, but is a bit of a pain in the a$$.
