T5 no reverse

I have a t5 in my small block s10. drove it to work the other day and went to back out and it wont go into reverse. every other gears seem to be fine and shifts smooth. No wining or any funny noises coming form it niether just was wondering if anyone might have any ideas.

Will it go into the reverse gate or is it like hitting a wall ?

like hitting a wall kinda like the reverse blockout( think thats what it is called) is stuck. doesnt even feel like there is a gear there.

Try to shift to 5th first , then reverse. This helps to synchronoze reverse, even though reverse is not synchronized in a T5. You may need to engae the clutch and then de-clutch before this to re-index the reverse idler. The cause of this in most likely due to the idler gear engaement teeth being blunted and allowing more block out shifts.
