Clutch Help Please Heres the deal, I installed a Cartex clutch set up last year (master, slave, ect..). I had problems all last year with it and am still having issues. The clutch grabs awesome, however, when I am at full throttle @the track the damn thing will nto got into 3rd gear. It seems as if the disc is not disengaging from the flywheel when I press in the clutch @high RPMs <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> . The clutch disengages fine when driving regual, but if the RPMs build too high, I can't get it into 3rd. I did have the clutch pedal adjusted out really high, but I would get the same results. Does anyone know why I have a problem going into 3rd gear at high RPM's? Please help its been a year now and I am ready to rip out the master and replace it with a McCloud. Re: Clutch Help Please Email Nineball (Tony) I believe he and some others had some issues with the lutch fluid getting to hot and the fluid thins out then the fluid doesn't have the pressure to completely disngage the clutch. I believe there was something to do relocating some fluid lines and added some heat wrap to lower the temp of the fluid. Also maybe try the drill mod, if you haven't already. There is a small restriction in the fluid line. This restriction was designed by GM to decrease the clamping force of the clutch system I believe. This was done for two reasons: 1) make the car less prone to a "jerky" feel when engaging the clutch, and 2) the help prevent destruction of the drivetrain.

Re: Clutch Help Please Sweet, thanks for the input. I will defenitally send nine ball an email, cause this is kiling my times @the track. The clutch came with the drill out mod already done. But the heat isue makes perfect sense. Thanks again for the insight
