Default 1LE Mount on 2002

I was reading Install University's article on the 1LE mount and it says that it might not fit on the 2001s and 2002s. I have a mount that I was going to put on, but after reading that I am wondering...will it work?

thats strange, I've never heard of this before. Nothing under there has changed as far as tranny mounts that I know of. Did they say why it might not fit?

Wait til you put it on. It's not quite as bad as a poly mount, but mine has a gross coffee grinder type sound in low gears when you get on it. I think the best solution is a new stock mount. I swear, I think even the 1le activates some KR. May also be my Pro 5.0 transmitting a lot more sound.

Interesting. I only have 5800 miles on my stock mount and I think it is fine, I just thought a 1LE would be better...

No, Install University doesn't say why it might not work..

I think 2000 and up already came with the 1LE mount. I know when I called SLP for a 1LE mount for my 2000, they said it was only for 99 and previous, because 2000+ had the 1LE from the factory.

SLP is known to be a bunch of extreme morons, but this guy wouldn't even sell me one! *shrug*

On a side note, I have a poly mount and a pro 5.0, what sound are you talking about?

SLP wouldnt sell me a 1LE for my 01 either - supposedly the crossmember is different - anyone know for sure? My stock one got sloppy after having the car three weeks.
As far as poly mounts, ive heard good things about the energy suspension one (dont use the preload plate and grind down the nubs), but my prothane was horrible. My *** went numb after a 80 mile interstate hop. It cured my wheelhop, but i had to take it off. I think ill try to energy piece next.
