Default Simple Clutch line question

This is my first LS1... so I know this question might be obvoius to you veterans so heres whats up:

02 LS1 and T56

I had a SS clutch line made and now I'm ready to drop the engine in...

But 1st, I think the old line end is still attached to the slave cylinder. Thus I can't plug the new line in.

1) How do I go about pulling out that old connection?

2) The tube that runs from the connection and into the slave rotates pretty easy, it's not loose, but it worries me... is this a sign I need to get a new one?

Thanks
Aaron

9. From underneath the car on the drivers side in the front of the transmission you will find a steel braided line the runs into the transmission (see Figure 8). You will need to use two flat bladed screw drivers to push the white plastic ring in towards the transmission. When the white plastic ring has been moved all the way, the line should disconnect itself.

YAY SEARCHING!!

No, that's normal.

yeah, I found out instead of a couple screwdrivers, a fuel line disconnect tool works REALLY well. And the little connector on mine wasn't white anymore it was kinda brownish. It's plastic so it will discolor eventually. but you can see what he's talking about with your new line, that white plastic ring that slides freely back and forth.

i think there is a tiny allen screw that tightens up the thing u said is loose, use two screw drivers to pop out the old line, and why are u reusing a old slave anyways??
