Lightbulb Best Of The Best

well tomorrow i should be done with the whole clutch, flywheel, and cylinders upgrades...so.., i just need the t56 fluid and clutch fluid....

which is the best for the tranny???

and for the clutch?????

Penzoil Synchromesh for tranny, dot 3 valvoline syntec for the clutch. My $.02.

for the clutch, i think any dot 3 fluid would work just fine

Ive heard synthetic causes the seals in a Mcleod mc to go bad. Might want to watch out if you run one.

DOT4 is what kills the seals in the McLeod - I run one.

I WENT TO AUTOZONE AND THEY HAD THAT ONE THERE. IT SAID SYNCHROMESH AND JUST THE FRONT TAG LOOKED DIFFERENT. BUT STILL IT SAID FOR GM PART 12345349....THEN WHAT ABOUT DEXRON 3 OR 4?? WHAT EVER HAPPEND TO THAT?? IS IT BEING REPLACED NOW FOR THIS SYNCHROMESH THING?????

AND BOUT THE CLUTCH FLUID, I BOUGHT COASTAL CLUTCH FLUID...ANY GOOD??? IF NOT THEN WHERE CAN I FIND VALVOLINE DOT 3 CLUTCH FLUID??? I SAW SOMETHING SIMILAR BUT IT SAID BRAKE FLUID.......

HELP PLEASE!!!!

That's the one and brake fluid IS clutch fluid. So the Valvoline brake fluid is fine.

but isnt brake fluid too thin compare to clutch fluid???

The hydraulic clutch uses brake fluid. There's no such thing as "clutch fluid" - you'll get laughed at if you go into an auto parts shop asking for it.

well i got a clutch fluid... from coastal, heard good things from it :confused:

They they just simply rebottled brake fluid and called it clutch fluid

Same schtuff...
