Question for Spec Clutch owner inside
Question for Spec Clutch owner inside I have just had my whole tranny rebuilt. Here is what I had done. New Spec Stage 2 clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate package, 01 slave, new syncros, new bearings, and mobile 1 syn.
The problem now is when I rev the engine while out of gear there is a slight vibration. Since it being in no gear it eliminates the possibilty of being the driveshaft or internal tranny parts. Which leads me to believe that it could be the clutch package. It also has the vibration slightly when accelerating in the lower RPM range. At high RPMs you cannot feel a thing.
I have now put 80 miles on the new setup and the vibration is still there. The question is will the slight vibration go away after the 400 mile of break in? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: Question for Spec Clutch owner inside Yep, I had a little vibration at first, but it went away after break in. BTW - Don't run synthetic in the M6 tranny. Use the regular stuff. The syncros need friction to work properly.
Re: Question for Spec Clutch owner inside I have been running Red line snythetic Dot 3 ATF in my M6 for over 25,000 miles and it shift perfect. Snythetic is just a better version of dino oil (it stands up to heat better). You just don't want something that has "spectial" stuff in it.

Re: Question for Spec Clutch owner inside I have heard 50-50 results from the synthetic tranny fluids. So Im gonna try it out and see how things go. If I start to see any sign of problems or grinding of syncros then im switching back to Dexron III. Until then it shifts like a dream and I have been loveing it.
