putting m6 back together
putting m6 back together i have a 2000 ws6 m6 that i pulled the tranny out to put a clutch in and replace some bearings. I was wondering if anyone could give me the torque specs on the transmission parts wether they need to be in inch pounds are foot pounds. The bolts the hold the transmission cover on where the input shaft on what to torque at and if there needs to be a gasket in there also, there was not one on there when i tore it out so i dunno just thought i would ask thanks

Pg 45 All in lb-ft.
26 lb-ft for the case bolts.
Apply a VERY LIGHT coating of RTV between case parts... Over half the transmissions I get in for service are from RTV squeezed out inside the transmission, and clogging up the bearings and synchros..
