Default McLeod Twin Disk worth it??

Just wanted to know if this clutch is the best on the market for high hp cars and is it worth spending all that money for this clutch?
Thanks,

Chris

All I can tell you is that it came highly recommended by a Guy who owns Clutch Dynamics here in MI. and he makes his own clutches. The clamping force is great and the whole set up is rebuildable so it will be the last clutch you'll buy and thats why I bought one, I'm waiting to do the install after I do my heads install.

Thier excellent clutches from what I have heard. But so damn expensive!!! But then again read my clutch woes.....

I am trying out my last clutch...Spec IV Carbon. If this one goes, I am putting in the TH400 and a 4400 stall. This is my 4th clutch in 4 years.
1. Stock--125 shot of dry nitrous killed it
2. Centerforce Dual--came apart, my fault. Improper break in, and didnt get it balanced.
3. Z06--Nitrous/Slicks ate it within 5 runs.
4. Star Spec IV--Sitting in a box next to me, waiting for install this week.

Now if you add up how much I spent on all of these clutches, plus my time. The Mcleod twin disk would of been a bargain. I am hoping the Spec will last for one hardcore season. Then it can explode in November for all I care. Next year its TH400 equipped.

I've used them on boosted Rovers of 5.0 capacity etc. Great clutch, double the friction area but with a street friendly pedal pressure etc. I want one for my LS1 but, the price is holding me up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> .

I think all you need is the Mcleod single disc kevlar. I have one and it holds like a mother. Leaves rubber on the road in 4th. It has never chattered once. All the guys in the Eastern F Body Association use this clutch. My friend runs low 11's (11.08 best) and puts down about 450 to the rear wheels. He's had one for about 2 years and been thru 2 Strange 12 bolts and never had a lick of trouble from it.
