Do I have a worn tailshaft bushing?
Tracking down a mild driveline vibe and have ruled out driveline angle, driveshaft and tires.
When I grab the tranny output yoke I can feels some up/down slop. I put a dial indicator on it and measured at the very least .020" of up/down slop. The slip yoke looks fine.
Cant see anything unusual on the bushing, but it is very hard to see.
Is my tailshaft bushing shot and can it be replaced without pulling the tranny?

Does it leak out of the rear seal ? Thats usually the first sign of a bad bushing . To answer your question , the bushing can be removed and replaced in the car with the correct tools .

I usually take a TH350 bushing and turn the o.d. down to fit the tail housing properly but Rockland Gear is suppose to have a bronze bushing for it as well . Tremec does not service the T56 F body bushing seperately from the housing as far as I know .
