what did I break?
what did I break? Something broke in the trans...I was slowly pulling out of my work parking lot in 1st gear...pushed the clutch in and shifted to second...as soon as I let off the clutch to engage 2nd, I got a really loud/violent bang and the clutch pedal feel was completely different and wouldn't disengage the clutch from 2nd. There is no resistance in the pedal except for the clutch return spring until about 2 inches off the floor where it becomes very hard to push. I can still row through the gears with the car turned off though. Clutch fluid looked fine, and nothing leaking or visibly broken under the car.
Had to have it towed to the dealership (still under warranty), but won't hear anything until next week.
There was no indication of anything going bad up until it just let go.
So what do you think I broke?
Car is an '02 SS with 46k miles (relatively calm driving style), stock clutch/trans, minor mods in sig.
