t 56 questions I have asked some people for help and haven't gotten any help. What is needed to swap a t 56 into an older chevy? Can you use a t 56 out of a ls1 car with a slave cylinder or do i need the t.o.b.? I just need a ruff cost of parts and so forth so i can budget money for everthing before i start the swap. The motor in my old car went 10.50's on motor in my old car with an automatic. I'm looking at hopefully going mid 9's on spray next year what do you guys recommend for a clutch? I know most of you use rwhp #'s to judge your cars and parts but i'm not a believer in them. Thanks for the help/
How old of a chevy? You can buy a tremec mid-plate adaptor to mate an LS1 T56 to a Muncie/Saginaw/T5 bellhousing and clutch setup. An extended pilot bushing completes the setup.
Do you need the shifter in a certain location, or can you trim the tunnel/console? Do you need a mechanical speedo, or can you adapt an electronic VSS?
