Do I need an adjustable Master Cylinder?

Well its time for a new clutch...I am looking to get the Spec Stage 3 along with the steel flywheel...Do I need to get an adjustable Master cylinder?..Also, what is its purpose?..The car is an 01...

you don't HAVE to....

I didn't do one when I did my clutch install and its hard to shift above 6000RPM.....I'm going to go back in and install the Mc.Leod unit in a month or so and see if that helps (hope it does...)...

note: the Spec Stage 3 is a really nice clutch....couldn't be happier with it....
