Grinding 5th....

Grinding 5th.... ok, I'm new to the M6 game, so I need some help deciding how bad this is...
I recently did a A4 to M6 swap....today I put the center console and shift boot in, and the car grinds a bit going into 5th.
It's NOT hard getting in there, and the grind is real quiet....just curious if it has anything to do with the way I put the console in...
OR if it's just the synchros going bad....
The tranny is from a 99 LS1...

Re: Grinding 5th.... My tranny has done that for the last two years, usually the first couple shift to 5th when it's cold.
The counsle has nothing to do with it, it's the synchros. I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me.

Re: Grinding 5th.... The trans was a used item where did u by it from cause some one took mine from my shop and it was grinding going into 5th
