Description:
Exhilarating car to cut-up winding roads with the tops off. My father bought it new in 1997 and I later became a proud owner and caretaker when I turned 17.
Highlights:
- 305 horsepower LT1 V8 engine and transmission run great
- Stow T-Tops in the trunk to turn any drive into a Detroit muscle cruise
- Hard to find WS6 package, and car is much better looking than its Chevrolet Camaro contemporaries (and obviously the Mustangs)
Background:
- The car is in good shape other than the age-related wear to the paint on the front bumper and hood.
- The clean title is in my name.
- Ignition and coolant systems have been replaced in the last 20,000 miles as part of preventative maintenance. Engine, transmission, and rear differential fluids have been maintained, contributing to it having no major mechanical failures in its life.
- Its passenger rear quarter panel was replaced through an Allstate-approved body shop after the hitch end of a trailer fell onto it (you should have heard the language coming from my father's mouth...).
- It needs new tires - Costco quoted an installed cost of $700. Asking price was reduced to cover this cost, plus some extra.
