My biggest question before I go down this rabbit hole, is how does it feel? I've heard all the auto journalist from Motortrend to Onetake consistently bash EPS for years on "feel". Now, I'm coming from a '98 Grand cherokee mod and a stock pump with the turn one flow reducer valve-it still feels overboosted and slightly vague. I want better than that obviously but a full turnone or Lee system hits hard at a grand-I'd rather spend that on DA Varishocks. What are your overall impressions, especially since you got the variable assist working properly(and the return to center issue it seems).
My car runs 285 NT-05's up front and in an ideal year I'd get about 4-6 HDPE events a year in at Blackhawk Farms or Autobahn-the rest obviously street driving. In your opinion, do I keep the jeep box and add the EPS, or put in a manual box(16:1 I think is the fastest)? I'd like to keep the 12:1 power box if I could, but any thoughts you had would be nice.
I'm very capable with Arduino's-the car has two in it already and I have the Canbus shield for a pair of E60 M5 seats(looong project).
