1981 C10 short bed rolling chassis
For Sale1981 Chevrolet C10
Description:
Considering selling my 1981 Silverado as a roller. Factory short bed, original "Sante Fe tan" paint. Looks good from 10 foot but would consider it driver quality. Just enough patina to not worry about driving it. They are only original once! Wanted to make a street/strip truck with it and wanted to lighten it up but not sure if I have the heart to start gutting it and stripping it..looking to pull my driveline out of it and sell as a roller. Rockers, cab corners, and floor pans are all fairly clean! Minor pin hole of rust starting on bottom corner of doors, some minor dings in body, clear coat peeling on tops of fenders, minor blemishes here and there etc. Interior is all original in decent shape, bench seat has a tear, door panels show wear, dash has a plastic cover over it.
DJM upper and lower tubular control arms, DJM drop springs and spindles up front and a flip kit with a mini C-notch cut out of the factory frame and plated.
Factory gm steel wheels color matched to body and a nice set of centercaps with new Toyo tires. Tinted windows. New brakes front and rear.
Rear axle is a built 8.5" 10 bolt with Yukon Duragrip limited slip, Yukon 3.73 ring and pinion, Yukon hardened 28 spline axles, crush sleeve eliminator, moser C-clip eliminator kit, moser diff cover/girdle. Caltrac bars in the back with factory leaf springs with overload spring removed.
Have some extra stuff that can be negotiated to go with.
asking $6500 obo. These trucks are super simple to work on and you could honestly have yourself a running truck in a weekend with a small block Chevy and th350/th400 trans. Or do a ls swap and have a truck worth $12,000-$14,000 these trucks are hot right now.
Text or pm for more information or questions or pictures.
Will post more more pics and a video or two ASAP
Originally came with bed rails from factory so there are some old holes on bedside tops. White spray paint rubs off with laqeur thinner.. just been too busy to do it
