Description:
For sale is a 2005 Pontiac GTO, black with 162K miles. The motor is a stock LS2 6.0L 400hp short block engine with 243 heads, the trans is the stock 4L65e. The car is black with white plasti-dip, the plasti-dip is removable to make the car all black. The title is clear in hand, and the history is clean. I bought the car in 2019 because I've always wanted one, but I've now moved to a place with less garage space and I've decided this is the car to go.
When I bought the car, the only modifications were a stereo system, a K&N intake, a terrible exhaust and a DSS one-piece driveshaft. Since then, I've done the following:
LS7 lifters
LS2 Timing set
Melling oil pump with pickup girdle
Heads milled .005"
PAC springs
Rockers have trunnion upgrade
New valve seals
New LS2 cam
New LS2 water pump and hoses
AEM intake
Elite Engineering catch can
Rail ps cooler
Plate and frame trans cooler
Speed Engineering long tube 1 7/8" headers with stainless studs
New LS2 plug wires and NGK TR6 plugs
Hinson poly motor mounts
Energy Suspension poly trans mount
New O2 Sensors
Magnaflow catback
Frost tune
Pedders stock height rear springs
Aeromotive Stealth stock fit pump
Brembo brake swap on all corners with slotted rotors and ACDelco hardware
18" Drag wheels painted gunmetal with near new tires
New brake booster and master cylinder
New radiator
Optima battery
LED everything
DEPO tail lights
Spyder headlights
Powder coated valve covers, intake, strut tower brace, etc.
Momo Millenium Evo steering wheel
Speedhut dash gauges - wideband and oil pressure
whiteline upper strut bushings and bearings
eibach lowering springs
koni sport shocks
new front sway bar end links
new headliner
new seat upholstery on all seats done 5/8/20
The car runs great, pulls hard and feels nice on the road with the independent rear suspension. Oil pressure is 60+ cold at idle, 40+ warm idle. The stereo was done by the previous owner and appears to be very nice. It includes a Kicker sub in a moulded fiberglass box, a nice panel for the amp mount, and the stereo is a double din Kenwood with lots of functions. Known issues are as follows:
The A/C lost charge, there's a Schroeder valve at the firewall that needs replacement (leaks). Included in the sale is a new condenser and expansion valve.
Engine noise is loud when cold, typical of LS motors. Non-existent when warmed up.
The door panel insert peeled, off on PS
The airbag light is on because of the Momo. I installed a resistor, but originally tried a simulator that tripped it. It's good now, just need a reset of that system.
I'm continuing to work on these issues, and as they're corrected, the price will become more firm. Pics are before the lowering, which was done March 27. Alignment April 3.
I have all the receipts for all of the work done, including instruction manuals and a shop manual for a Holden Monaro. I also have take-off parts from when parts were upgraded where applicable and a spare set of 18in Niche wheels without tires, two key fobs, etc. I didn't intend to buy this car and then sell it, but the lack of garage space makes me want to sell it. Asking $9,200 OBO, no trades. Contact Loren by phone at 228-243-3833 or email.
