My father passed away this January and my mother has asked me to help sell my father's vette. The car is very clean and spent its time garaged in NY or under a carport in FL. There are a few things that I would fix and that is why I'm asking 12K so someone can get a couple things fixed and end up with really nice C5 as good as new. This is 1K less than the average private party price on KBB to help it move. This car is nearly stock with the exception of a ram air kit and Borla catback. The car was tapped from behind at about 3mph and my father's buddy/insurance man insisted his exhaust was broken. The car is currently in Rochester, NY and fires up and runs great. Here's my truth-in-lending statement after driving it for the first time two weeks ago and having owned a heavily modded 2000 WS6 and knowing my way around these cars:
- Headlight makes noise which is pretty common. (Gear was purchased but not installed yet)
- Oil pressure gauge looks like it has stopped working; reads 90psi and doesn't budge
- Tear in the driver's side seat about the size of a silver dollar with cracked leather; passenger side is good.T
- The ABS/TCS light is on and I haven't had enough time to poke around;
- The car drives like new for a 21 year old vehicle and still opens up and sounds great.
