Description:

Strange S-Series Nodular 9" Center Section.  Painted with POR-15 many years ago.  The gear was overheated and damaged.  It started whining really badly on the highway so I inspected when I got home and other than metal goo in the oil it doesn't look that bad.  I suspect the pinion pre-load wasn't set up correctly on this gear set since it was only in there about a year.  I replaced with an aluminum housing which is why I didn't have this rebuilt.

I have a set of axles, I think Moser, that fit the standard F-body housing.  They have the bearings and backing plates on them just like they would install in the car.  If interested I could throw these in for another $100, but I really don't want to ship them so it would be pick up only.
