Description:

For sale to a good home is my '99 Firehawk (#120). I am the original owner and I'll be sad to see it go, but I haven't been able to drive it since 2018, so it's time for it to go to someone wants to restore and enjoy it. It's spent almost all of its life in the South (VA, SC, and now NC), with the exception of a couple of years I lived in PA and didn't drive it at all (it basically sat in my friend's driveway for three years). I do have the original window sticker in my records, as well as the official Firehawk car cover, and almost all the original parts for the few mods it has (WS6 lower airbox, Direct Flo lid, underdrive crank pulley, B&M ripper shifter), exception being the power steering pump and alternator, both of which failed and are long gone.

It's far from pristine, since it's been sitting a while, but all the major parts are there, and the interior is in much better shape than I expected after sitting for so long. Replace the tires, recondition the wheels, and give it a count of paint and you'd probably be 75% of the way there. The engine cranks over and builds oil pressure, but I cannot get it to start; it seems the fuel pump must be dead. All of the rest of the electrical system seems to work (locks, alarm, headlamps, keyless remote, HVAC, etc), though of course the power window motors are barely able to raise the window on just the battery. I have attached as many pics as I could take, first of the car in general, and then of the problem areas. More detail below, in each section. Please ask if you have any additional questions!

Exterior:
The paint isn't as bad as it could be; the driver's side is fine, as are both quarters and the rear bump. The passenger's door and fender have some sort of hazing in the clear coat but are otherwise fine. The front bumper is hazed and has some places where the paint has worn off, as does the t-bar on the roof, but the worst is the hood (not surprisingly, I had it repainted at least once over the years). The spoiler also has some point cracking right where it attaches to the decklid. The t-tops themselves are in good shape and don't leak, sunshades are included (in fact they've been on the car, which is probably why the interior isn't destroyed). A few of the emblems are sun faded, but they'll likely need to be replaced when the vehicle is repainted anyway. Aside from the paint, the worst parts are the wheels; they started peeling right after the warranty expired and were never refinished. All of the original Firehawk center caps are present, but I have a set that is in better shape that I planned on using when I redid the wheels (which obviously never happened).

Interior:
The passenger's seatback is split open in several places at the top. The rest of the seats are in decent shape for the age of the car. The seat recliner / release works on both sides. The driver's side power seat has a bad switch, but I have a couple replacements, so hopefully one of those will fix the problem. It does have the AQ9 articulating seats, which means the power seat switch is rare and hard to find. The steering wheel, gearshift, and parking brake cover are all in pretty good shape. Both door panels are cracked in the usual place (rear top) but nowhere else. The worst damage is the black plastic piece that sits in front of the actual dash, between it and the window, it's cracked in about five different places and will have to be replaced. The sunvisors themselves are in decent shape (parked with them up), but the mounting post for the passenger one came apart on me while I was cleaning the car. Seems to be a common problem, I replaced the driver's twice during the time I actively drove the car. It originally came with a tape deck up front, which I may still have, but that was replaced with the factory CD player for the same year sometime in the late 2000s. It also has the 12-disc changer in the rear as well.

Mechanical & Electrical:
Engine cranks and builds oil pressure, but as I mentioned earlier, doesn't catch. It's likely the fuel pump since I don't hear anything even when jumping the fuel pump relay (which does have power, I checked). I can't really test the rest of the driveline since I can't get the engine running, but when I parked it the clutch and tranny worked great but the rear axle had a small hum to it. Brakes actually aren't as rusty as you'd expect for the age, either. Unfortunately since I can't get it to start it's hard to really check the mechanicals more thoroughly.
