Description:

Comp Cams solid roller camshaft, lifters, pushrods, dual springs with retainers and locks.  All you need is your own rockers, insure correct pushrod length, put in top-end oil restrictors, and make sure the lifter crossbars clear your block.

Specs:

Cam: Comp Cams custom, 1.05" (small) base circle to help clear longer stroke engines (from a 402 LT1), hardened oil pump gear, 256/264 duration at .050, 114 lobe sep, 4 degrees advanced, .642/.639 lift with 1.5 rockers before lash (.020 recommended). This is the 3-bolt with pin-drive style camshaft so I've marked it as "compatible" with 95-97 LT1's, but if you've converted to that style it works for you.

Lifters: 818-16 Comp Cams solid roller Endure-X (standard LT1 diameter .842, clearanced crossbars and you likely need to clearance block at lifter bore tops or you buy a taller set of lifters 891-16)

Pushrods: 8416 Comp Cams 5/16" diameter 8.050" length .105-wall (thick)

Springs: 943-16 Comp Cams dual springs (ran at 1.936 installed height 236#, 1.318" open 576#), 1.55" diameter, 0.80 inner diameter. Coil bind 1.150, spring rate 550#/inch.

Retainers/locks: 1731-16 Comp Cams 10-degree tool steel retainers/613-16 Super valve locks for dual springs, 11/32" valves.

This all runs about $2000 retail on Jegs/Summit right now (cam and valvetrain was all ordered together directly from Comp as a matched set).  Low miles on all of this, did a prior rebuild with this new setup and then rarely ran it.  Even if you just needed a cam or lifters or a set of springs/retainers/locks you'd come out ahead.

Will add photos if requested.

Just to clear possible confusion here, these parts are for a Gen2 SBC LT engine. Carry on…

Right, thanks. I put the vehicle "Compatibility" data in the post to insure folks knew it specifically targets the 95-97 Gen2 since the opti drive changed after 94.
