I'm selling this trans am because I'm going to buy a 6th gen camaro. It was sitting in a field for about 13 years before I picked it up Last year. The front bumper had a tree growing up under it so it was worthless.
it is an lt1 car with a 411 pcm swap t56 car
I've replaced
wheels
tires
clutch
Flywheel
Alternator
Fuel pump
Crank sensor
Injectors
Injector pigtails
Fuel pressure regulator
spark plugs
wires
Headliner
Smoothie Q hood
Truck struts
All of the interior with firebird cloth
Shift ****
I have in a box
New water pump
Thermostat
Both fan motors
drive belt
Crankshaft pulley. (The one on it is underdrive for some reason)
I'm not the best tuner but it's running pretty ok. Ideally you would need to have it tuned by someone that is good at it. I drive it twice a week to work which is about 5 miles away. I'm not sure why but I'm guessing it's in the tune but if you let it idle for too long bank 1 goes really rich. But it stops doing that if you just drive it again.
the car isn't perfect but it's not bad. It really needs a paint job.

Expect a low dollar amount at the auction. A bunch of guys looking to buy at wholesale price and the lt1 isn't super desired. You're better off to hold out for the right buyer if you want much money at all.

The car is going to be a loss no matter how I look at it.
if I spend a couple thousand to LS swap it then it's going to be in the price range of true LS cars so if someone is looking for one they would more likely pick up one that isn't swapped vs one that is.
if i go a little further with the 411 swap and do a 24x crank to put individual coils then it's that much more money to make it closer to an LS but still not as desirable.
most people dont even know what really happens when you swap to a 411 pcm but some do so that's why at least I did that to this car. It was a 50 dollar pcm that came with connectors 100 dollar hptuners credit and a couple of hours of following wiring diagrams and moving pins to have an end result of a more reliable car , so I figured I could at least do that.
for me it was a nice learning experience, not so much with wiring because that's easy but with how pcm's actually operate from one engine platform to the next.
I was thinking I could just add the word "roller" to the title and maybe someone might be interested in it then. But unfortunately no matter how much power I can make or how reliable I can make it you're correct about the LT1 isn't really desirable.

Hold out for the right buyer. Believe it or not, there are quite a few people who prefer the LT1 over the LS1 (not me, but some people) and would find this car very desirable. It's got a great look, 6 speed and the price is very good. For someone looking to tinker and do the 24x conversion it would be a great car they can drive and collect parts.

A guy is coming to look at it this week for a project for him and his son. I explained on the phone to him what all it takes to do the 24x conversion and told him if that's the route he goes then I already have the vin license for hptuners so I will turn all that on for him for free.
