📄 Title: Clean and in-hand
I’ve owned this car for over a decade, and I’ll be honest—it’s going to hurt letting her go. This 1971 Datsun 240Z has been my long-term project, built around an LS1 and T56 from a 2002 Camaro SS. She runs, drives, and pulls hard, but she’s still very much a project in progress.
If you’re looking for a fully polished, show-ready car—this ain’t it. But if you want something with serious potential, the right parts, and soul? Keep reading.
🔧 What’s Under the Hood:
- LS1 (~60k miles) & T56 6-speed from a 2002 Camaro SS
- Swap kit from John’s Cars Inc (engine/trans mounts, headers, driveshaft, and tach calibration)
- Standalone custom LS1 wiring harness
- ACT clutch + aluminum flywheel
- MGW short throw shifter
- Mishimoto aluminum radiator
- Optima Yellowtop battery
🛠️ Other Goodies:
- Wilwood brake master cylinder + Tilton clutch master
- Wilwood brakes on all 4 corners (12” rotors)
- R200 rear differential, half shafts, and mustache bar from a 280Z
- POR-15 sealed fuel tank
- Walbro fuel pump
- Corvette FPR
- SLP Shotgun resonators
- 15” XXR 002 wheels
- Toyo R888s in the rear, all-seasons up front
👎 The Honest Bits:
- The rear diff starts to whine when it’s warm—likely needs a rebuild or swap
- The interior’s seen better days—seats are cracked, rear area has exposed metal, and it needs love
- Not a turn-key cruiser—you’ll want to go through it and finish things out the right way
❤️ Why I'm Selling:
I never planned to let this car go. It was my outlet, my therapy, my challenge—and I learned a lot building it. But life has opened a door I never expected, and to make that leap, I’ve got to let this one go. My hope is she ends up with someone who sees the value, the potential, and the heart that’s already gone into it.💰 Price: $14,400
